From magnum -- opened and immediately poured. Good deep dark color, minimal bricking or any signs of age on the nose. A taut and slightly leaner style but nice black olive/cassis/tar/earth elements. A minerally/iron note. Great food wine.
Somewhat disappointing in view of BH notes. It has lost it's primary fruit, but not old enough for a lot of secondary character. More red fruited to me at this time with earth, spice and some cedar. Middle weight and leaves me wanting more on the palate. OK but certainly not great. Perhaps it will get better with time.
My Sunday/Monday sipping wine. lovely nose of raspberries, spice, earth, cedar and hints of wood, more of the same on the palate, very sweet and rich on the palate, medium body, small amount of soft tannins present, medium finish. At its peak, but should hold another six years.

(Bruno Clair Savigny-Les-Beaune "La Dominode") From some of the oldest vines in Savigny this wine is profound and is easily the best Savigny I have had. I would LOVE to taste the '05 of this because due to the character of the vintage I think it would be better than the '99. Dark aromas of pine, resin, black cherries and forest floor. Brooding nose. The palate was incredibly concentrated and had loads of black/blue fruits and foresty, mineral flavors. The purity of the fruit was quite striking. The finish was long and the wine was still tannic but not undrinkable. This has 10-15 years on it.
(Bruno Clair Savigny-Les-Beaune "La Dominode") Delicate yet very concentrated with dark black fruits and really potent spice and dark fruit on the nose. Beautifully etched tannins and perfect acids. One of the best Burgs I have had this year.
