I saved half the wine tasted on 3/20 in sterilized airtight 375 ml screw cap. After letting it breathe a full day the wine emerged as a beauty. Syrah is often a beast that only time can tame, that seems to be what happened here. Supple, lush savory aromas backed by youthful blackberry fruit, dark/milk chocolate and a long saturated palate. Wish I had another bottle. If you open one now, let it breathe 24 hours.

Black with blood red edges. Lots of blackberry, iron, olive, bay leaf, a touch of new oak, and smoked meat. The rich savory flavors and puréed texture are quite a mouthful but not quite integrated into a harmonious whole. This needs time to shed tannic edges and some stemmy notes, and if I had another bottle I would wait until 2023. It seems to have the fruit and acidity to age longer. 90-92

Luscious, dark red, sweet, ripe berries complicated by the floral note brought on by the addition of Viognier really kicks this off right. The round textured, sweet, spicy fruits in the finish bring it the rest of the way.

Absolutely outstanding! Great balance of baking spice, blueberry with a little bit of mushroom on the nose.
