  Waited too long to open this... Some funk and a bit of red fruit on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed the (faded) red fruit, but it was accompanied by lots of green pepper, along with a good dose of earth, a touch of smoke, and more acidity than needed to balance. Suggest drinking up any bottles you're holding on to.

  Excellent franc. Mild to moderate tannins. Dark licorice and cherries. Some mild spicy chocolate.

  rich and thick, coats your mouth, blackberry and just a hint of green pepper. Drinking well with no sign of giving out in the near future.

  Improves steadily from start to end of bottle
  
  Soft tannins persist, not particularly obtrusive, acidity has eased a lot over last few years
  
  Still ripe red berries, balancing tannins, lovely with camembert
