This is top tier Napa. Perfect blend of old and new school. The fruit is still shining at 27 years. This could age another 10+ years but drinking at peak.

I enjoyed tonight as a flight of part of our wine group.
We had 97,14,16,17. The 16 and 17 were tops after the first hour with the 16 just a hair above. The 97 started to wake up but the 16 was the wine of the flight.

From magnum. Rather plummy when first opened, but got much more herbal as time went on. Tons of rosemary. Not a whole lot of complexity.
Tastes good, tannins are in a good place. Everything's balanced well. I just don't really care for the nose much.
