  Opened and decanted 30 minutes prior. The cork came out whole and was only soaked to half way. Still Crimson centre, quite bright to brick rim. Some fruit on the nose, casis. On the palate vanilla, casis and some cedar wood, but not woody. This half bottle better the the last one. A joy at 44. Drunk over the next hour it did not fade.

  First of 6 halves. Opened left for 30 mins then decanted. The cork was very dry at the top and wedged. It broke up so I used a tea strainer during decanting. Good colour for a 44 year old wine. Still Crimson centre with brick red rim. On the nose medicine like. The palete was better vanilla but not much fruit. Quite short but great at 44.
