  • Brownish colour with a red core. Nose is dominated by sticky herbs and resin. Absinth wormwood, ground rosé pepper, Campari, sage and pine cones. Very light body, high acidity, no tannins and a severe lack of intensity, tastes diluted. Nah, no fun. Some extra points for the rather interesting and unique nose. Maybe a bad bottle.

  • Hazy, pale intensity, tawny-ish color.

Developing nose with medium(+) intensity. Earthy profile with bruised strawberry, dark cherry, bitter orange, grounded black pepper, baking spice, wormwood, fresh herbs and forest floor. Quite intriguing nose.

Medium bodied with medium(+) acidity and hardly noticeable tannins. Juicy and fresh on the palate. Medium intensity with same earthy profile. Medium finish.

Uncomplicated and juicy wine with kind of fun aroma profile. Not a rosé(?!) for everybody. Drink now.

  • Orange färg, väldigt tunnt

Det första som träffar näsan är curry, malört och kanel. Vissa glöggtoner, grabefrukt och en del kåda

Hög syra, relativt platt i munnen. ingen vidare längd.

Ett ganska trist vin med en märklig doft där första intrycket förstör mycket av helhetsbilden av vinet

  • Very pale garnet rosé with light bricking. Ripe strawberries and sweet liquorice dominate the nose, assisted by herbs, meaty mineral and spice. Rich in flavour, quite dense and full-bodied for a rosé at 12,5% ABV, the acidity somewhat embedded at this stage. Just as expected from a TLZ wine, quality is outstanding, but the big issue here is the obvious malolactic fudge/caramel flavour (think German oaked Spätburgunder) which makes the taste slightly sweet and cloying. The Karmin 4 had none of this, and it isn't likely to go away with age either. A stylistic problem that finally makes us pass on buying more. First bummer from the otherwise brilliant Strohmeier.
