Youthful appearance and nose, with well balanced acidity on the palate. However not a terribly memorable taste profile and suggest putting this in the midweek corker category.

85% Syrah, 12% Petite Sirah, 2% Grenache & 1% Mourvedre. 16 months in new American oak. Deep, inky and glass staining dark purple. Opaque throughout. Decanted. Heavily scented with notes of blueberry, huckleberry, cassis, boysenberry and dark cherry along with notes of baking spice, edgy toasted coconut laced with vanilla, toasted fennel seed, violets and Danish pastry. Concentrated and rich on the palate showing the warm climate Syrah and Petite Sirah well; Flavors are dripping in boysenberry jam, blueberry compote, cassis, baking spices, liquid violets, black licorice, toasted coconut, shisha smoke, vanilla and pastry. The tannins are ripe and full with balanced acidity and alcohol. Long through the full, fruit laden finish.
Overall, drinking at it's peak

Smooth ripe berries, lovely tannins, power is softened with the extra time in bottle
Good for a few years yet

At a nice point now. Tannins starting to meld, no corners, dark fruit with a remaining touch of oak

Nice full body, good fruit. Better on day 2 than on day 1. Definitely got a couple more years to go.
