Better with more age. Dark cherry, mushrooms and wet leaves. Very earthy and complex layers. Acidity went great with salmon, goat cheese and dark crackers out on the deck.

Drank this some tomato based fish chowder. Was a wonderful pairing as the tomatoes toned down the acid in the wine allowing the cherry fruit to come thru. Recommend.

Happy New Year! Needed something to pair with bacon wrapped filet mignon and crab cakes... Pinot Noir seemed like the right way to go. A toasty nose, burned hay, pot roast, some earthiness hiding behind that. Medium body. Hints of grilled veggies, flower garden, some more of the meat sneaking back in, dark chocolate on the finish. Finish doesn't last long, though. Not a great wine by any means, but not bad either. Would like it a lot better at $10 to $12 price range.

The wine has high acidity. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like red currant, gooseberry, barnyard and bell pepper. The wine has bright texture. Decanting toned dow the acid and brought out more fruit.

Great QPR for a $15 Pinot. Darker than I expected for an Oregon Pinot. Dark cherry, leather and smoke.
