We first had a sip of this drop via Coravin 10 days ago. We decided it was time to sip again! Brownish-red on the eye. A tad dull on the nose, but hints of dark fruit, dark chocolate and some tobacco. Very soft. Reasonably good fruit, albeit feminine throughout with absolutely no tannins. Fairly long finish. It does not have the legs of Chateau Haut-Brion, but an interesting wine to sip...using Coravin to test both the wine and, well, Coravin.
Tasted as part of Bordeaux flight at OTBN 2015. Dark garnet color, medium bodied, the black berry and black cherry fruits were somewhat subdued being overtaken by notes of cedar, cigar box, slight earthiness turning to tones of anise, smoke, graphite and creosote on a modest tannin finish.
Leather, Roasted Cherries and some earth. Palate was somewhat thin with Roasted Cherry/Plum notes, but none of the classic grave brick/stone notes. Seemed like the bottle was either cooked or HB picked over ripe.
Jeroboam Club 1995 Bordeaux (Bordeaux Quay): Classic brick red colour. Lovely warm cedar and tobacco nose. Plenty of depth. Good entry on palate, mature, tannins a little obtrusive in mid palate but a lovely finish. Lovely balanced Graves and classy.
