37th of 48 halves, perfect level but soaked cork, darker than last bottle in Jan 20 but still surprisingly fresh, complex and attractive, probably best to drink over next few years in this format. F+ (18).

35 years old and holding up soooo well. The Seville oranges are just brilliant. I adore old sauternes/barsac and this magnificent. Would last for about another 50 years. Glorious.

1989 Bordeaux Horizontal - London (Piccolino, Exchange Square): A bit tight opening. With air some rich Seville oranges, some banana fritter and hints of candyfloss. Lovely texture and length. Has held up well over time although this is my last bottle.

Deep copper colour. Fully mature with layers of complexity. Botrytis a little burnt orange. Great energy still on palate. Sweetness resolved , perfect acidity takes it through to long clean finish. Just delicious
This did not show as well as I remembered from prior tastings. The acidity seemed to have departed, and the beautiful balance between caramel and "lift" just wasn't there. Tasted rather one dimensional and overly alcoholic, but it improved a bit with some air. I think it was better when it was more youthful.
