Blind Tasting While Watching the Cubs Win NLDS Game 1 (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): Tasted double blind. Rich black fruit with a hollow middle. Starts great, leaves you wanting something more, even while pleasant. I was torn between this being Super Tuscan vs Cali Cab, but ending up thinking 1995 Tuscany, with some rustic edges not fully balanced.

Colour shows perfect age to drink, dark bordeaux red with first shades of brown colour. Stunning nose: spices, flowers and fruity merlot tones dominate. Perfect aged tanins embodied in quite high acidity. leather, earth and almost mineralic at the finish. My favourite Solengo to drink now!

Deep purple color persists in this blend of Syrah and Sangiovese. Black fruit on the nose and palate with a hint of chocolate on the palate as well.

Amazingly youthful. Excellent balance, smooth tannins and tasty fruit. Very enjoyable, a shame is my last 2!

Outstanding. Tannins fully resolved and full bodied . Needed to be paired with food, and was a great companion to a lamb casserole. Wish I had more.
