Rich aromas on nose Palate has intense black- and blue- berries, soft mature tannins, gentle pepper spreading slowly but wide. Acidity makes for a fine pairing with Leicester cheese

Reaching a lovely balance. Opened 4 hours including 2 hour decant. Changed perfectly. Fruit forward with more spice than I expected for a cooler climate Shiraz. I reckon it will peak around 2027 and last for some years from then.

Opened at 2:00pm, decanted and allowed to breath for three hours before returning to the bottle for the SWTG Victorian Cool Climate Shiraz (and others) taste off. Fruity bouquet with the barest hint of pepper, lovely crimson red through to the edges, lush fruit without being a fruit bomb, balanced line of fine acid with soft tannins along with subtle dark chocolate and vanilla oak. Again only a hint of pepper (much less than expected) overall a good mouth feel and nice length. Wine of the night, one point ahead of a 2004 Langi Ghiran "Langi" Shiraz. 93+

EXCELLENT
Yeah was good. Typical cool climate Shiraz but next one should be really nice.

Moncur Syrah/Shiraz (Bistro Moncur, Sydney): Cream, blackberry over cherry, muted peppery spice…more of the same on the palate. Well made cooler climate shiraz.
