Three hours decant, and still benefited from pass through vinturi. So basically still retaining youthful tightness, probably three or four years from peak
Syrah aromatics, lot of spice, unobtrusive tannins, lots of lingering acidity, I drank more than my share

Great opportunity to try some wines from Lauren Ashton Cellars prior to release. The heavy hitter for this tasting is the Cuvee Mirabelle. Deep and dark ruby red with a purplish hue. A little funky on the nose with some gamey/meaty notes, (we love the funk). Some smokey undertones as well as minuscule greenery and hint of nutmeg. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Lovely savory attack that morphs into a few rustic notes as well as dark cocoa and caramel. Slightly dry in the long finish. Absolutely gorgeous GSM blend from Washington State. Highly recommended and a must try from Lauren Ashton. Drink till 2027.

Spice, spice, spice.
Tannins and acidity give firm underpinnings, long and satisfying

Earthy dark fruit with the sternest of the Syrah. Got lots of structure. Lots of acidity there driven. Rachel likes it.
