  Day 1, muted nose that opened after 30 minutes giving a little floral terracotta, ruby red colour with no significant signs of age. Fairly classic Barolo palate, a little shrill and high pitched but decent with food, mainly red fruit, really lovely fine and firm tannic structure. 90 points but no more.
  Day 2 this now has loads of complexity in the nose! Heady and inviting. The palate has first spice (a touch of clove and cardamom?) and then depth where the fruit has turned darker- forest fruits and tar, rounder even smoother tannins with less prominence but still present. Probably 93 or 94 on this showing.
  Hold or ensure it’s opened very early and given the chance to breathe slowly.

  Offene Nase, florale Töne über einer intensiven Frucht, dunkle und rote Beeren, Süssholz, getrocknete Kräuter. Im Gaumen gradlinig, kräftig und doch elegant, noch jugendlich, jedoch mit etwas Luft antrinkbar, die Tannine sind hochwertig, die Säure wirkt stimmig. Mit einigen Stunden im Dekanter zeigt dieser Wein sein ganzes aromatisches Potenzial. Viel Typizität. Jetzt (dekantieren) bis 2037

  A little under an hour in the decanter and ready to go. Entering into secondary phase with tannins softening. In a nice place. Hint of tobacco and boysenberry on the nose. Ruby fruit. Medium bodied. Perhaps lacks a bit of complexity but at this price point, I am ok with it. Works with or without food.

  A vintage that brings strength and elegance in equal measure to the glass. On the nose, red fruits and spices, a hint of coffee, and dried flowers. In the mouth, the wine is enveloping, and the tannins surprise with their precision; the finish is characterized by great persistence. Definitely a wine with a promising future ahead. Cheers!
  
  
  Un'annata che porta nel calice forza e eleganza in ugual misura. Al naso frutti rossi e spezie, un accenno di caffè e fiori secchi. In bocca il vino è avvolgente e il tannino sorprende per la precisione, il finale è caratterizzato da grande persistenza. Sicuramente un vino con un futuro roseo davanti a sè. Salute!
