Medium ruby in colour with a slight garnet rim & restrained aromas of slightly jammy black fruit, lovely old French oak & earthiness. On the palate, bold tart red fruit, sour cherry, subtle old French oak, herbal, spice/ pepper, high acidity & medium well integrated soft tannins. Well balanced & smooth, but still lively from the acidity & pepper. The finish is long & dominated by sour cherry & pepper. Lovely old wine that has aged well.

WOTN initial demure fruit was the opening this quickly evolved into a fruit/integrated tannins that exploded across the whole palate and its long length seemed to never let up hope all that got to taste this special wine appreciated the experience

Also muted aromas. Palate seems more lively & energised as opposed to Ciacci tasted along. Acidity. Austere a bit.
