Drank with a friend as an aperitif. The last of my 6 bottles and it has kept very well. Buttery, with some oak showing, but well balanced. Apples. Very good.

Lightly chilled, opened and poured. It is evident that this chardonnay has kept very well and continues to taste well. Light amber colour. Nose and palate are buttery, with a hint of oak showing, which has surely helped this keep well. Medium bodied, appley, peaches. Good finish. Delightful, but need drinking up soon.

Initially drinking this on it's own whilst watching The Wine Society's chardonnay webinar. Silver / gold colour. A lovely rich nose showing tropical fruit, butter, cream. The palate is wonderfully complex, excellently balanced, peaches and green apples, just a hint of oakiness. Long finish. Clearly this isn't going to be great forever as it's already 7 years from the vintage, so don't keep too long. But at the moment, it's drinking really well.

Aged parcel from the Wine Society. Superb value for money given that this is Rustenbergs standard Chardonnay.
This is in great shape. Bottle age has brought out a lovely nutty note but the purity of the fruit still remains. Tastes like good white Burgundy (south or warm vintage perhaps). Oak perfectly integrated.
Drink now but will probably hold on a while longer.

Rich and buttery balanced by some lemon and mineral notes. Excellent value.
