Good. The nose doesn't have that Riesling stink that you get from Mosel iterations. More stony and stone fruity. The taste lives up to the nose. Pleasing creamy texture. Not as high acid as I tend to like in a Riesling, which is surprising given the vintage and the producer, but then again I haven't drunk much non-German or (better) Austrian Riesling. Still, this has enough freshness to it to keep it from being weighed down. Perhaps this would have been better consumed a couple years ago, but it's certainly still good.
So, I don't get so much from this that I love drinking it by itself. That said, it's superb with a range of foods. I've been drinking it this week with a bunch of roasted root vegetables and chicken, and it fits the bill perfectly.
So, a good wine but at nearly $30 not a great QPR to be honest - unlike many of Chehalem's other offerings, which I tend to enjoy.

Very nice Riesling Oregon style. Just a smidgen of sweetness. The nose has banana and coconut. Quite elegant, just barely medium bodied. A minor hint of diesel and wet slate to remind us this is Riesling. They control the acid in a splendid manner just like they do with Pinot Gris. Long list of fruit flavors from melon to grapefruit. Lingering flavor of lychee.
