In the decanter 2 hours prior to drinking. Garnet, bricking around the hue. Very tertiary, very sweet fruited, dried red and black fruits, and otherwise a tad tired and dull. A bit of a chore unfortunately. Can’t see it improving from here.

Game of Rhones (Carriageworks, Redfern): Dense black fruit, slight stalky notes, cream vanilla and chocolate. More of the same on the palate, a little short though.
