  • Rather neutral pale lime green color. Pretty dry and rather vegetal nose with almost unripe aromas of whitecurrants, some herbaceous grassy tones, a little bit of green apple and a hint of asparagus. Doesn't really smell that pleasant. The wine feels crisp and fruity at first with a light touch of CO2 prickle. However, as the hint of carbonation dissipates, the wine comes across as softer and somewhat sweeter with more candy-sweet than ripe-sweet fruit flavors of gummi bears, golden currants, red apples and some Bassett's wine gums. The wine is moderately high in acidity. The finish is dry and rather short with dull flavors of ripe and slightly spicy red apples and gummi bears.

Meh. A fairly foursquare Chenin form South Africa that suffers from the typical pitfalls of the style: sweet, almost candied fruit and too little acidity to set off that sweetness. Dull and boring. Not worth the money at approx. 10€.

  • Dry and crispy, showing smooth yellow plums and hints of apple and citrus. Pretty nice stuff. Had a glass at Seahorse terrace.
