Deep amber color with incredible sweetness and notes of banana fosters on the pallet. Incredible long finish that stays with you for minutes. The most memorable bourbon I've ever had.

By the glass to finish a great dinner at the always excellent and 3* deserving The Kitchen Table, London. A fitting finish Rich, toffee, caramel edge, polish and mellow too with a lot of depth on the palate. A lot of smoky oak use here but done in a harmonious way and adds to the spirit rather than owning it. We do not rate spirits as a rule but this would be quite high up the scale of the 90s :). An experience o say the least.

What can you say that's not already been. I don't know what perfection in Bourbon is but now maybe have at least an idea. Almost expected to find it rather over oaked and/or charred but absolutely not so. Slightly darker in color than most bourbons, the nose was rather subdued initially upon opening but that first sip, simply unreal. Unbelievably smooth with power, spice and flavor intensity, especially in the middle and finish that lasted on the palate seemingly forever, is second to none in my experience. I think extraordinary is a pretty fair term. Enjoyed with a "Juan Lopez #2 Cuban", probably the best cigar I've ever had. My juice, Tim's stick, on a cool, sunny, windless day, this is as good as it gets. I can't possible score this. The hype, demand and cult following is crazy for sure but there is no doubting its quality and uniqueness. Amazing stuff.

JT 35. Pounding intensity. Don't get me wrong this is very good but just seems crass next to Macallan 1965 or Brora 1972. (C5606)
