It’s a massive as Montrachet, powerful, concentrated, oily. Modest fragrance of cold butter and vanilla. Despite the size the finish is moderate. Firm acidity. It’s very, very good but somehow the fruit is muscular rather than beautiful. But of course it’s young and could develop positively over the next decade. K was enthusiastic.

Wine Group Meeting #181. Tignabruaich, Brisbane. This wine opened with a pale green gold colour and a fresh nose of cut white stone fruit, nashi pear, touches of lemon lime and wet limestone. The palate had great texture purity and length and developed floral touches backed by lemon and lime nuances with swirling in the glass. There is lovely length and grip and all in all this is a fine glass of Chevalier still very much in its youth.

Deep distinctive nose, flinty, spicy, nutty with a lemon oil essence. Very special nose. Very tight, clenched and structured palate, could very well be the most tannic white wine that I've ever tasted. The dry extract and latent energy is amazing in this wine. Should be great once it loosens up a bit, in 5-10 years.?

Beat your 2018 WOTY Dinner: Blind. Mandarin, white florals, pine needles, spicy and smoky oak with lemon and menthol. The palate has superb acidity, lifting tightly packed fruit. Brilliant texture and balance, this is driven but feels incredibly classy. Stunning wine.

It's been a while. A very good wine, but like sdr I feel the iron fist is showing a touch more than the velvet glove.
