A darker, more garnet colour than the Napa Valley bottling. Dark chocolate, blackberry, toasted oak, freshly sawed wood, elderberry and cappuccino, with flower shop. A long finish that turns a little bitter at the end, however, that will fade over time. This was popped and poured, demonstrating the need for a true decant. Twenty months spent in 82% new French oak barrels. Drink 2018 - 2028.
