  • This is an extremely interesting wine. A friend brought it in his luggage from Wurzburg, Germany. He said it was their favorite everyday dry red wine, and that it only cost 6 Euros. I had a hard time discerning the producer as the label was in German, which are hard enough to figure out when they print them in English. The body of this wine was quite rich in, I hate to say, a tomato juice sort of way. It was fruity, but not overly so, like red raspberry puree. Big mouth feel. Not so much acid. Some welcome, tasty earthy mineral flavors. Time in the glass started to make things more interesting to the point you almost could not wait to take the next sip to taste what might appear.
