Mouton Rothschild vertical 1878-2002 (Old Swiss House, Lucerne): Keeps amazing me into what beautiful beasts aged Riselings evolve to! Nose of petrol complementing apple and pineapple with spices on top. Great, fresh palate with just the right amount of sweetness.

Mouton Vertical (Lucerne): A wonderful aged Riesling. I had more complex whites, yes, but this was incredibly fun to drink. Probably not the most intellectual wine, but hedonistically so appealing and in a good drinking spot although I guess that in 10 years it will be even better with more tertiary aromatics. 95+
TN: Golden color, lots of quince jelly, fresh golden apple, scents of pineapple and other tropical fruits, traces of sweet honey, some hints of petrol, but minerality only faint in the background. All this packed in a perfectly round and harmonious wine with intensity and concentration. Not too sweet (anymore?) which makes this a good food companion.
Decanting: No decant needed.

Dark gold. Huge petrol nose, with flint and tropical fruit. Viscous and generous on the palate, not very sweet and fully integrated. Long finish. Elegant and a very nice accompaniment to fish ceviche.
