PnD let air for 1hr. Dark purple garnet dense but not saturated with a plum to clear rim. Vanilla plum compote and a whiff of charcoal on the nose. Medium weight with smooth tannins. Racy red and blue fruits on the palate with the oak treatment a bit too dominant making it unbalanced. May need more time or a long decant. Will see how the other half of the bottle shows tomorrow.
2 days later after being sealed in the fridge oak is more dominant. If I had another not sure if I would drink up or wait five years.

Good Washington merlot, but certainly not special.
