  • Sweet raspberry and blackberry. A touch raisined? Eucalyptus emerged after time in decanter, and the tannins were also a nice slow build.
Not bad but a bit disappointing given high expectations.

  • Big gun ! But with great freshness which makes it a wonderful wine.
Red fruity, sappy, structured with acid and finish. Lovely aussie !! May improve ! But enjoy if you like it with tension.

  • Decanted for a couple hours. Plum, dark currant, smooth and creamy, good acidity and tannin. 2010 is a good vintage. Should benifit from futher ageing.

  • Breathed for 2 hours. This is a full-bodied shiraz. Lovely mix of plums, blackberries, liquorice and a burnt fire place. Nice tannin's finish off this wine well.

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, it is deep ruby in color, with purplish rim and legs.
Nose: Clean, with pronounced intensity aromas of black fruit of blackberry, plum and cassis, pungent spice of licorice, floral notes of violet, sweet spice of nutmeg, maturity notes of savory, kernel notes of chocolate, oak notes of vanilla. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, the wine has high alcohol, full body and medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit of blackberry, plum and cassis, oak notes of vanilla, pungent spice of licorice, kernel notes of chocolate. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Australian Shiraz with a very intense nose showing good complexity, with a good range of characters, the wine has an exceptionally rich aroma. On the palate it exhibits good strength and power, with firm tannin, acidity and weight, plus good concentration and a fairly long length on the finish. It is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.
