  • 13% alcohol. Tasted blind.

Pale yellow-green color. Upon opening the nose feels somewhat dull and musty, but it opens up slowly, blowing the dull notes away, so it seems to be just bottle stink, not a flaw. Once the nose has cleared up, it shows quite dry and somewhat light aromas of cantaloupe, some wool, light honeyed tones and a little bit of vaguely waxy. Overall the fruit department feels rather understated here. The wine is broad, oily and somewhat concentrated on the palate with a full body and juicy flavors of apple jam, some ripe white fruits, light stony mineral notes, a little bit of evolved woolly character, a sweet hint of honeyed richness and a developed touch of cooked cream. Overall the wine seems to be quite high in dry extract, but as the acidity feels only medium high, the mouthfeel is quite soft and a bit on the flabby side. The finish is ripe, sweet-toned and somewhat oily with medium-long flavors of white peach, some apple jam, light notes of cantaloupe, a little bit of stony minerality, a hint of damp wool and an evolved touch of creaminess.

A lush, ripe and very juicy Pinot Blanc that shows some age. People wondered if the wine had passed its "best by" date - it really didn't feel over-the-top or oxidized in any way, but the fruit flavors seemed to have diminished in relation to the big body and obvious ripeness of the wine, making it feel rather light and underwhelming. This feels like it should be pulling powerful punches, but is delivering just light jabs. Although the wine is perfectly drinkable and even quite enjoyable, it leaves a somewhat lukewarm impression: big, ripe body, modest acidity and light, underwhelming fruit isn't a winner combination. A bit pricey for the quality at 26€.

  • Slightly floral with moderately ripe green apple and lemon. Reasonable weight with a slightly bitter finish.

  • Highly auromatic a dusty road on top with star fruit, papaya, mango and pineapple base notes with hints of white fliwers. The taste of a tropical fruit flan with a creamy texture.

  • This one had prominent salinity with green apple, lemon-lime, and at warmer temps, a nice peach note. Had a few glasses left for day 2, and the salinity was much less prominent, which was a good thing as it had been a bit distracting. Really good acidity too. Enjoyed this though more so on day 2 when the salinity was more integrated.

  • Slight effervescence when first poured. That dissipated after about 15 minutes or so.
Mineral with green apple. Refreshing. Really improved with a little glass time. Also improved matched with grilled lemon pizza ( yea, I know it sounds awful but it was really good) as the cheese cut through some of the acidity and complimented the lemon.
