Nice cross section of fresh modern winemaking with nods to the 'natural' style without hitting you over the head with manure and cider. Vibrant crunchy red fruits with occasionally hints to the ferral with some floral elements and a juiciness on the finish. There is a certain flatness at the back palate, but this would suit many a midweek supper.

Sweet cherry, blueberry and other assorted forest berries on the nose, as well as coniferous notes and some earth. The light-bodied and somewhat leathery palate follows with tart but restrained acidity and light but piling-up tannins. Medium to long finish with red fruit. Nice, drinkable, and stands out from most of the rest. For me, the real measure of Valpolicella producers is their basic Valpolicella, not the too-easy-to-impress ripassos or amarones.
