From magnum. Aromas of strawberries and earth. The palate reveals unsweetened strawberries, minerals, earth, and black raspberries. On day two, the fruit receded and minerals and spice became more prominent. There's a nice savoriness and good acidic spine. While it's not overly serious, there's enough complexity to demand attention. Drink now.

I had opened this a few nights ago, poured a small glass and changed my mind, opened something else. On night one it was a little too grapey. So it saw very little air but tonight the remaining 7/8s of the btl was 100% more interesting. Tonight it was an excellent expression of energetic; black raspberries, earth, mineral and some savory notes to boot. Very tasty. 12.5% Alc.

Surprisingly fruity given the age. Probably beginning to turn, but still a nice light drinking wine.

Vin Chicago / Kermit Lynch Tasting (Vin Chicago - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Very enjoyable and fun with good weight and balance. Nothing complex here, but very enjoyable and a great value wine for near-term enjoyment.
