From a magnum, opened three hours in advance, decanted, poured back into the bottle and took to our club for steak and lobster night along with a 2012 Insignia. The nose is all fruit with hints of chocolate, the palate is blackberry, dark cherry, fig, tobacco and chocolate. The finish is moderately long and rich. The wine go better with each glass so the more time you give it the more enjoyment you will get. My good friend and wine mentor Michael and I preferred this wine. My brother in law preferred the Insignia. We all have our own taste buds. Happy Sunday everyone.

A two hour decant was the perfect amount of time to allow residual heat to blow off. Soft and silky, fine grained tannins, lots of red fruit and cassis for sure. Wonderful mouthfeel. A touch on the sweet side, but not cloying. Not overly complex, but a great wine and worth the 10 year wait. This winery is now corporate owned so we'll see if the quality remains consistent for the 2019‘s and beyond.

Well structured, smooth, complex with no signs of fading. Excellent with rare Outback Bone-in Rib-eye.

A bit blocky until about 3 hours to get tannins to round out and integrate. Beautiful rich ripe black cherry, blackberry, light oak background.

Perfectly balanced and drinking at top shelf. Hints of fig and oak. The body is medium/full with a polished texture, long finish, and medium acidity.
