One last round at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): Really miss Blair Pethel's wines -- they were always so honest and forthright and this bottle, which has held up very well, is no exception. Minerally and just a tad fat the way Meursault ought to be, especially in a vintage that might not be like that. Elegant with none of the unnecessary modernist reduction; just really honest, straightforward chardonnay, as it is meant to be.

Nice, with cool green and orchard fruit with an underlying minerality. The depth was abit lacking compared to the last bottle I tasted, but otherwise, quite enjoyable.

Delightful tonight with an abundance of cool green and stone fruit with a subtle baking spice undertone. Drinking beautifully with an hour or so of air, but was really pretty on day two.

A bit muted on the nose, and polished on the palate to start. Seemed more like a 2012 initially, though the freshness of the vintage starts to come out with some coaxing. There's ripe fruit, showing plenty of flesh, approaching a candied element to it, though there's equal parts freshness and minerality to balance. Also shows a nice round texture without any noise, precise, and with good persistence on the finale.
