A 3 hour decant but then really rocking, gorgeous balance of feminine and masculine elements, tar, roses, violets, raspberries, citrus, charcuterie, really very vibrant and intense.

3 hours slow ox. Dark purple red. Red fruited nose with baking spice, roses, hints of charcuterie, olive tapenade, quite graceful and feminine. Gentle tannins frame a red fruited mineral palate, still very youthful and primary, but with the tannins having receded this is quite accessible with lots of floral notes and confection. Quite lovely.

Deep red. Even after several days open this smells quite “glossy” on the nose, especially for Barbaresco. Dark berry, vanilla, even a touch of cola. Very fresh. Juicy berries on the palate followed by firm but not over the top tannins. Excellent drinking now although it will definitely live for many years more.

On opening this has a beguilingly beautiful mature nose of tar, roses, all sorts of complex floral perfumes, confection. The palate however is quite harshly tannic with prominent oak, and not a whole lot of anything else going on.

Meget elegant. Svage tanniner der tog til efter et par timer. Tydelig piemonte. Mangler mere krop.
