As I remember, light, clear with smooth tannins. Cherry, vanilla and raisin through the nose on mid-palate. Day two this wine lost its luster. Seemed flabby and dull. Probably need to drink the remainder. Still enjoyable though, but if you open it, plan on finishing the bottle. Some fruit in the nose, but as it sat vanilla and raisin tones developed. Easy to drink, smooth tannins, nice palate. Cherry tones dominate, with some raspberry. Finished a bit short at the start, but lengthened with more air. I did not decant this, but would suggest it. Probably 30 minutes or more before pouring. Will be looking to buy more. Enough fruit for a US or Aussie merlot/cab afficianado. (1823 views) |
