Much better than in 2014. Still young but in much better balance. Very dark and dense for a Moulis. Eucalyptus and violets. Great texture and very good tannic structure - this is a wine that will improve and keep for years to come.
Plum in its drinking window. Lovely expression of a middle aged Medoc, showing leather, some earth, and a concentrated cassis core showing the vintage nicely. Plush mouthfeel; rich palate; tannins are soft and integrated but still offer ample structure; lingering finish. Very enjoyable.

(Château Chasse-Spleen) Dark red violet color; appealing berry and cassis nose; tasty, structured cassis and berry palate with depth and a menthol note; medium-plus finish (55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot)
(Chateau Chasse-Spleen Moulis) A moderate depth of colour. Sweet and creamy, very primary fruit on entry, rich and expressive, with a seam of buttery crumble for good measure. Nevertheless a rather simple and straightforward palate, although it presents an appealing texture, nice extract and a ripe, charcoal-edged structure. All the necessary components are here, nicely balanced. Good potential.
