  Italian night (Washington, DC): Still showing some dusty grip, balanced acidity. The cherry and plum fruit taste a bit compote-y to me, but it’s still lively. Peppery, earthy, leathery undertones. Paired so well with the grilled lamb. I’m not sure this will age for a really long time, but it’s in a good place with time to go.

  Nose - Animal notes. Almost no tannin. Almost no fruit.
  Palate -Some fruit. Abit of tannin. Animal notes. Mature.
  End of drinking window.

  Limited notes. Medium body. Tannins have not yet integrated. Nose is closed. This is too young to drink. I much preferred the 1992.
