Served blind, medium-dark Pinot color, upon opening really pretty floral nose, after 2 hours really beautiful beguiling nose, stinky barnyard, crushed rocks, cranberries, zen balance, most thought a 10 year old Burg, will improve with more age, years left, very good now but will be stupendous with more age 95 now 96-97 in 2025

Unfortunately, I might have missed the best before date with this pinot. Very restreint on the nose and palate at first, I decanted it which helped to get more aromas on the nose—dry cherry, potpourri, clove. Spiced cherry with a peppery note developing mid-palate and a finish I would have wished longer. Don’t delay any further if you have this vintage in your cellar.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Funky nose, also a touch oxidative, nutmeg, mature.

Better than the 1998...more fruit and presence but still something is missing to making it a memorable wine
