@10+ bottle age with Steakhouse burgers with roasted jalepanos, jarlsburg & Dortmunder cheeses & CARMELIZED onions = superb! OMG this vino ROCKS at this age!

Consistent with previous note, except this wine seemed a touch more elegant than last time. Maybe it's about expectation, last time I was expecting a quality balanced single vineyard zin, and all I got was a balanced boring zinfandel. This time my expectation was lower and I could tease out some strawberry and raspberry.

I found this wine to be relatively balanced for a zinfandel. The fruit/alcohol are in check. But there isn't much to get excited about either. Just some red fruit, maybe a touch of oak/vanilla, and some spice. This is pleasant enough as a weeknight wine and the $21 I paid for it seems fair. I wouldn't pay more for it.

Opened tonight to compare to last nights Hartford Old Vine. The Ravenswood is more rustic and slightly less polished. Fruit is dark red with typical zin notes of thorny forest floor and wild woods. Drying tannins on finish.

Rich, delicious, but not overly jammy. A fantastically complex and well balanced Zin.
