Needs to be decanted. Ripe dark fruit on the nose. Tasting it early, it was chalky and less in balance. 60 minutes in it greatly improved and showed it's muscles. Full bodied, teeth staining, ripe meaty texture that actually felt restrained and kept getting better. It was the biggest wine of the night and the only new world big red. This is wine is a great representation on what a Petite sirah should taste like.

We opened and let slow ox for two hours then decanted. The nose was fruit with hint of spice. The palate was dark berries, tree bark, tobacco and baking spice. The finish was long and brought out hints of rose petals. A really beautiful wine.

Briefly decanted and vigorously swirled. Another stunning Petite Sirah from Switchback Ridge and the Peterson family. Elegant, rich and full bodied with a wonderful finish of gripping tanning. Fasten your seat belts for a hell-of-a ride. 94+

Fantastic. I think this is at peak, but should drink great for another 4-6 years.
