10 months on from my last bottle and it is excellent at 4yo. It still has the fine 'Burgundy' nose and the palate has green apple, citrus, tropical fruits, subtle spice, and brioche on the mid/late palate, perhaps typical of a good Macon. Complex with enough balancing acidity. Very long. A serious competitor to mid-range white Burgundy and much better value to my mind. Good after a night in the fridge. Citrus acidity more pronounced on the mid/late palate - mainly lime. Very nice.

Really fresh with vibrant red apple and lemon fruit. Apple pie and custard like on the finish. Great oak integration. Not overdone and a great value at this price point. Drink now.

It is a great pleasure go be able to confirm that my last bottle was a one-off. This bottle offered all the fruit, character and finesse that I associate with the 'Wild Ferment' range. Good, 'Burgundy' nose and a fine palate showing green apple, citrus, some tropical fruits, with notes of brioche on the middle/late palate. Complex with hints of spice. Excellent acidity and balance and very long. Lovely wine and great value - a competitive white Burgundy would cost so much more IMO.

When opened, there was too much crude, woody oak in this bottle. Still too oaky, 5h after opening. As it opened in the glass, the wine softened and lost most of the woodiness in the mouth but he nose retained 'soapy' fatty acid character from the oak. The palate showed good, rich, mainly citrus and green apple fruit. The oak seemed to morph into a toffee flavour with hints of ginger. Later, more tropical fruit flavours emerged but toffee dominated. Long in the mouth. This bottle is just not 'together' for me. Each glass brought back some short-lived woody oak at the back of the throat and the wine seemed to change a great deal with time and temperature. i suppose the question was when to catch it for maximum pleasure..... it was a fair match with chicken in a cream/mustard sauce. This is a surprising disappointment because I normally enjoy wild ferment Chardonnay. Perhaps an odd bottle? Or perhaps my previous tastings of the Aconcagua Costa (rather than the Casablanca Valley) Chardonnay have spoilt me? I won't attempt to score it. For the record, my wife quite liked it but found toffee dominant.
