Dark, almost opaque ruby purple color. A highly mineral wine on both the nose and palate. Extracted, but appropriate. Tart black fruit. You can taste the limestone influence here. Missing that sous bois earthy quality I love in Burgundy but I guess you have to pony up for that. An 05 that's still tasting young and nowhere near it's peak but questionable as to how much complexity can be gained from holding longer.

Medium ruby, berry-centric nose with vanilla bean, black cherry, soda, black currant, bacon fat and char, bright tangy fruit on the attack with loads of cherry, blackberry and spicy oak on the palate, finish is long and complex with berry fruit, orange peel, brown sugar and earthy notes
