  • 60% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre. Very expressive nose- watermelon, strawberry, rosewater, and raspberries with some herbal notes deep down. One sip and it's immediately apparent that the rich nose is due to the high alcohol; hints of strawberry and plum are immediately followed by bitter watermelon rind and a medicinal finish (witch hazel perhaps). Quick label check says 14.5% and I believe it. Only $15 at Wine Authorities but the alcohol is tremendously out of balance for my palate. Overall evaluation: B-.
