Opened by Allred with dinner. As his note states, this has a Bordeaux profile, but there also is the fruit present. Thus my score. A lovely bottle. I think I'll hold onto my '12's for a few years if this is what they will evolve into.
Popped & poured, having recently acquired a six-pack directly from the winery. Aromas of meat, roasted bell pepper, tobacco and mixed berry fruit. Medium-bodied with nicely integrated tannin and flavors of black fruit, plum, curing spices, roasted game and herbs. In a great spot right now. 93 for me, 94 for Domino, 95 for Mrs. TLV and 92 for TLV (a generous score from him considering how Bordeaux-like this is).
ATP wine. Way past its prime but still very drinkable. Delicate perfumed nose of dried cherries, bramble and graphite. Amazing example of how well Ridge wines age when stored properly. Could it be the native yeast policy of the winery?
