4th of 6. 14% abv. Stayhappy nails this in his review below, but since the fruit really came out for me tonight, I thought it deserved a 90. I agree that the tannins are relentless on this, but this showed a nice freshness for an 11 year old bottle, and I have much higher hopes now for my last 2 bottles. If you have any left, I suggest holding for another 5+ years.

Opened a bottle at Asia Grand to celebrate the birthday of one of my army mates.
Crimson in colour. Decanted for an hour prior to consumption. Massively, fierce, relentless tannins. Nevertheless, the cherries, strawberries and raspberries makes this a very palatable wine when paired with the Peking Duck. Medium structure with lovely fruity notes.
Highly enjoyable after decanting. Do give it time in the bottle or decanter.

Bought this in the enoteca chapel in Barbaresco in 2015. Was told this should be stored for 2-3 years at least, but then really good. They were right - one of the better Barbaresco I've had. Complex and refined, still lots of structure and lovely aftertaste. Defining acidity, but in a good way. Simply really good flavors (you decide which berries etc this resembles :-) )

Enjoyable wine. A bit on the thin side. Not really ripe fruit, so the tannins stick out a bit too much. Still pleasant and good.

Massive tannins overpower a bit at this stage, but this is still quite lovely.
