Struggled a little with this on this time round. Fruit seemed a little thin on the ground and dusty. Lacking a bit of body and depth, tannins felt pretty harsh despite a fair bit of airing. Jury is out on this. It'll never be a top 80's/90pt wine but I was hoping that at its price point it might have made for a good house wine, maybe (hopefully) the last 2 bottles will show better.

A little one dimensional to begin with but began to open up in time. Tannins were still a bit too grippy to enjoy this on its own. As with my other bottle there was a heavy amount of sediment which usually indicates decent cellaring potential to me. Perhaps I've started on these a bit too hastily so remaining bottles will get a few more years.

Maybe slightly unfair but opened this after a very enjoyable bottle of Ribera del Duero so this seemed a bit flat in comparison. Tried again the following day and it showed a nice rounded fruit profile still showing a youthfulness to it. No distinguishable cedar or cigar notes I like to taste in a claret. The bottle already held a lot of sediment, should be good for a few years. Purchased from ALDI for £8.99 a bottle

Great nose, but doesn't live up to it in taste. Flat with tannines. Hints of dark fruits, however not a lasting taste.
