Samuel Billaud 2014 Chablis (London): Great value for a 1er cru here and this is layered through with all that crunchy seashell and lemon pie actions you would expect - there is a tickle of richness to the fruit to pull back the tanginess a bit. Beautiful balance and will age wonderfully - all crackling minerality right now - this sits in between the Butteaux and the Montee de Tonerre - the 3 wines give a perfect snapshot of the range of 1er cru profilles.

High potential, but needs time. Wait 3 years before trying again.
