Nose of red berries and underbrush. Slightly vegetal notes on the palate, that gives a certain "sharpness" to an otherwise elegant wine. Spice, tea and rasberries. Good, but not as great as expected.

I thought this was nice, though not great. The nose was beautiful with lovely fruit and spice, no green notes that I can find, black tea, ripe red fruit, classic Chinese 5 spice. The palate was good, but a little thin through the middle. It did not change much though the dinner. Still very good effort.

Pretty, perfumed nose of cherry, earthy liquorice, and stemmy spice. Broad and dense, classic Nuit St Georges, the 2011 Les Vignes Rondes needs time to uncoil. Drink starting 2020.

A little oak showing on the nose. Cherry, earth and spice - lots going on. Really good now, but there is still a lot of structure and this should age nicely. I’ll hold my other bottle for a few years.
