Pas mal pour une dernière bouteille. Vin délié, bon goût, dense mais fluide, petite persistance aromatique et manque de complexité. Un bon cru bourgeois qui aurait pu encore tenir (beaucoup de couleur en tous cas).
Still some agreeable fruit and nice secondary/tertiary flavors, but some harshness is appearing. According to the chateau this wine uses to peak every three years after the year of bottling, i.e. two years after the vintage. But I don’t think it will “survive” another cycle, i.e. two years. 85-86.
Colour: concentrated, deep purple with purple rims. Nose: good dark fruit. Taste: good dark powerful fruit, a bit spicy/peppery, medium length. Medium to full bodied, with good acidity. With 13,5% rather much alcohol. Compared to three months ago the intensity of the fruit has a bit diminished. The secondary/tertiary flavours are appearing now. For those who love fruitiness in a wine, I believe it is best to drink this wine within three months. With food still a very good, rather heavy Medoc. 88-89.
Colour: deep purple with purple rims. Nose: good dark fruit, rich. Taste: good dark fruit, with a hint of barnyard/leather and a whiff of mint in the finish, which has a medium length. Rich and full, medium to full bodied, with depth and good acidity. Compared to one year ago this seems peaking now. Nice if not optimal balance between fruit and ripeness. Very good Medoc! 88-89.
