  Steak dinner. Awesome wine. Nice tannins very smooth decanted 30 minutes. Blackberries and oak. Very nice. Enjoyed with Gershwin in the background.

  Cannot fathom some of the sub-90 point scores posted here. We drank this alongside a 2000 Pontet-Canet, generously provided by our guest Joe O'Toole and this more than held its own against that renowned Second Growth. Beautifully balanced, with wonderful depth and a finish that just goes on and on, echoing notes of espresso, licorice and mineral. Very, very Bordeaux-like. Could not possibly ask for more in an Alexander Valley Sonoma cabernet at this price point.

  Really weak for the price. It is not very fruit forward which is OK but the back of the wine is very bitter, not just lots of tannins, but almost a metallic taste. I let half the bottle sit for a day to see if it would get better, but it didn’t.
