Pour: deep & opaque inkish purple Nose: seductive & luscious mix of cherry, dark fruit, & vanilla. Picked up cocoa beans & mint layered with flavors of autumn & summer. Palate: jammy, bold & elegant mouthfeel with fleshy tannins that can easily age for another 10 or 15 years but yet so enjoyable to drink now

Single vineyard Greenock/Barossa Shiraz. Vintage 2013. Blueberries and blackcurrant as primary aromas, lots of cedar, some smoke and chocolate. Bouquet not developed. On palate fruit sweetness from black berries, ABV and a seemingly massive amount of wood tannins dominate. The otherwise ok acidity cannot seem to penetrate. While enjoyable on palate it lacks focus and finesse. The finish is medium long but lacking complexity. Paired with sous-vide duck. Not a great match. Disappointing. Perhaps too young

Thick luxurious and intoxicating. Youthful age lacking integration of alcoholic stewed apples.
Others thought this 'wine' was odd. I liked it. Maybe Im odd.
