Stewed red fruits, dried cherries and for the first time for me with this wine attractive background spice. More structured than some previous bottles, this offered better delineated flavors on the palate. Faded after 45 minutes.

A wine past its prime but still of some substance. Cherry and raisin complemented by dry earth and dry leaves. Not complex but no negative characteristics.

Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind Rhone Varietals (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. Enchanting old wine aromas, less interesting flavors. Popped-and-poured, this fading rather quickly.

Hollow across the middle. Faint red fruit notes, dusty soil, but undifferentiated.

This bottle was well past its peak with stewed red fruits and some earth notes. Drinkable but not noteable
